Every year the Alton District Youth Council host a Pavement Artist Competition which was originally designed to bring the youth of the Alton Community closer together by paying just £2 for a slab to draw whatever they want on the pavement which would then go on to be judged at the end of the day and the winner wins something that’s very “arts and crafty”.

It’ll be on the 3rd of September 2011 opposite Iceland on the Alton town high street. It’s a fun little event to do with the family - well worth noting in your diary. Look forward to seeing you all on the day! - Photos will be up soon

These days I’m struggling a little bit to come up with new and innovative ideas to make sure that people do in fact visit and use the Alton District Youth Council site, because of the councils fan base as a whole, a lot of the features that more used sites such as the EHYC site use wouldn’t be put to good use if I was to impliment them into this site. Development is well under way with the website, A lot of features have been implemented and the site should be up and ready to use by the end of next week! Expect a lot of updates to the website during this time.
